Our Class Blog Rules

Room Ten's Blogging Rules and Agreement

• Only use our first names (christian name)not our last name (surname)
• Only use nice photos of others (ones we think they would like and appreciate) and check with them to see if it is OK with them
• Use appropriate & kind words in our feedback and feed-forward to others
• Never use personal postal addresses, email addresses and phone numbers
• Ask parents for permission if putting photos of their child on the blog ( we have asked parents and know the children who do not want photos published)
• Proof read and edit our work before publishing it (just like in our writing!) and ask Annie, a teacher-aide or a parent helper to check it before saving it
• Be responsible at all times when on the blog or internet

Follow our class treaty, internet and blogging rules because we made them together! They are there t keep each one of us safe and happy!

Room Ten's Blogging Rules

Our blog is now underway. We have worked hard on writing sensible and positive classroom rules and we are now using these rules in all our classroom situations. These rules make us accountable and we realise that we need them to stay happy and safe in our classroom.

We also have school rules and internet safety rules so we decided we needed blogging rules too. We brainstormed ideas just like we did at the beginning of the year and then we bundled our ideas and came up with the following rules.

After we had written our rules we looked at a blog from Room 9 at Nelson Central School and read their rules. We compared them and thought they were great and very similar to ours.
